Jesse comes to Incast Leadership Academy with a wealth of education and business experience.  Currently, he serves as the Director of Undergraduate Education and Associate Professor of Education for Corban University in Salem, Oregon.  Here, he teaches courses in education psychology, exceptional learners, instructional alignment, classroom management, research writing, and teacher licensing.  In the past, he has also worked as a Director of Human Resources, Director of Operations, Recruiter, Elementary School Teacher, High School Teacher, Financial Aid Advisor, and Clinical Historian.  

Jesse graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Business and a Master's Degree in Education from Vanguard University of Southern California.  He graduated with his Doctorate Degree in Education from the University of Southern California and is currently taking classes towards an MBA.  Jesse is fluent in English, Spanish, and ASL and has written and published four books about the human brain and how it is related to behavior, living, loving, and learning, including: Brain Thrive By 25 (2016), Change Your Brain, Change Your Life Before 25 (2014), Making a Good Brain Great: Course (2009), & What I Learned from a Penguin: A story on how to help people change (2006).

Jesse lives just south of Portland, Oregon with his wife and two kids and is heavily involved in his local church and education communities.  He has a passion for learning, cultural awareness, and advocating for families in poverty and for children with disabilities.  He likes to spend his free time building legos with his son, appreciating the majesty of Star Wars, cooking/eating Mexican food, thinking about cars, and spending time with friends and family.
